Clinical assessment at a distance and digital care visits are developing rapidly and are an important part of ensuring good, nearby, and accessible care in this area. Dorotea, Vilhelmina, and Åsele clinics are part of the same base unit and are located in southern Lapland, about 50 kilometers apart. The nearest hospital is in Lycksele, where the region's ambulance helicopter is stationed. Our clinics function as well-equipped mini-hospitals with access to acute care beds, X-ray, ambulance services, and laboratories. Our telemedicine use is well-developed. We have occupational therapists, midwives, physiotherapists, social workers, doctors, psychologists, secretaries, nurses, and nursing assistants. We provide acute care as well as regular health center work and have well-developed collaboration between all our professional groups and with municipalities. We collaborate with universities and accept students. We also work with the Center for Health in Rural Areas, an area that is high-priority, and exciting development work is underway. We are now seeking a specialist in general practice for our clinic in Vilhelmina. Work across the entire base unit may occur, but your main workplace will be at the clinic in Vilhelmina. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES As a general practice specialist with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that help people feel secure. The units are popular among training doctors, and supervision is an important task. In your role as a general practice specialist, you follow your patients throughout their lives. You meet people of all ages with all types of health-related problems and conduct independent assessments and treatment. QUALIFICATIONS You are a licensed physician with a specialist certificate in general practice and with experience in or interest in primary care. Experience in rural medicine and interest in supervision and supervisor training are considered advantageous. You are a present and positive person who, with expert knowledge and care, sees the patient and contributes to a holistic perspective that makes the care process better and safer. You are a secure person who contributes to good collaboration through your good communication skills and respectful approach. The work requires independence and the ability to solve problems and make ongoing decisions in the right order. As a person, you can handle parallel tasks. You are solution-focused and can adapt to changes in working methods and operations. You thrive working in teams where unpretentiousness is key to being able to help, learn, and support each other.
