Special Education Teacher

Kuldīga Municipality, Reg. No. 90000035590, announces an open competition for a vacant Special Education Teacher position at I. Zeberiņš Kuldīga Primary School for a fixed-term contract. Main job responsibilities: Conduct individual work with students and provide guidance to teachers working with students requiring support; Consult and provide support to students and parents; Implement quality educational process in accordance with general basic education standards and special education program requirements; Coordinate support provision in the educational field for students; Participate in the school's Support Team work and engage in school pedagogical activities; Assess students' learning abilities and conduct disorder diagnostics, analyze progress and evaluation; Prepare special education assessments as requested and provide recommendations regarding students' learning abilities in accordance with requirements; Other responsibilities in accordance with the job description. Requirements for candidates: Education in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 569 of September 11, 2018 "Regulations on Education and Professional Qualifications Required for Teachers and Procedures for Enhancing Teachers' Professional Competence"; Compliance with the requirements of Article 72 of the Child Rights Protection Law; Knowledge of education legislation and legal acts governing special education activities; Responsibility, initiative, and independence in fulfilling job duties; State language proficiency at the highest level; Professional communication with children, parents, and colleagues.
