Here you will encounter everything from minor scrapes to major challenges in medicine, surgery, and orthopedics. We work closely with physicians, registered nurses, nursing assistants, and physiotherapists. We also have pharmacists who support with medication management, administrators who handle admissions, and custodians who ensure patients get where they need to go. Clinical Base Year For newly graduated registered nurses, a Clinical Base Year is included during your first year in a permanent position. The Clinical Base Year includes lectures, process-oriented nursing mentorship, and practical training in your profession at the Simulator Center. You will also shadow colleagues in other departments to gain a broader understanding of the hospital where you work. This is an investment made to give you the opportunity to further develop in your profession and build your professional identity.
