Company Description Business Unit (BU) Vattenfall Power Solutions is a business unit with approximately 700 employees within Business Area (BA) Vattenfall Generation that trains personnel in Swedish nuclear power, delivers nuclear fuel to Vattenfall's nuclear power plants, develops and implements projects and assignments, and provides internal technical specialist services to all of Vattenfall's operations, corporate staffs, and stakeholders. This includes activities such as developing and providing training, project management and project support, analysis management and investigations, product development, and nuclear technical safety and dam safety assignments. Focus within the Vattenfall Power Solutions business unit is to develop our capabilities in project management and selected key technical disciplines. We actively work with continuous improvement initiatives and development of our models, where our work and expertise create great value for Vattenfall and its investments. About the Role Would you like to combine strategic sourcing within consultant procurement with business development and long-term supplier partnerships? We are seeking two Sourcing Managers for Vattenfall Power Solutions, one positioned on the west coast and one on the east coast. Here you will have a central role in ensuring access to external expertise and contributing to our long-term delivery capability. You will work closely with our technical operations, suppliers, and Vattenfall's procurement organization. Together, you will translate the operation's competence and resource needs into commercial, sustainable, and feasible sourcing solutions. You will monitor developments in the consultant market, create structure in complex needs, and develop partnerships with strategically important suppliers. The area is responsible for sourcing, strategic resource procurement, and management of external technical consultants. We are in a development phase where the assignment is growing and new ways of working, processes, and collaborations are taking shape. This gives you the opportunity to contribute your experience and help shape the area's continued development. Your Work Tasks As a Sourcing Manager, you will work strategically, tactically, and to some extent operationally. You will, among other things: Analyze the operation's current and future needs for external expertise. Develop sourcing and supplier strategies based on long-term operational needs. Ensure quality of consultant needs together with ordering operations. Communicate needs, forecasts, and strategic direction to relevant suppliers. Monitor and analyze the consultant market as well as suppliers' capacity and development. Establish and develop relationships with strategically important suppliers. Handle commercial matters concerning agreements, prices, terms, and supplier selection. Collaborate with Vattenfall's procurement function and category managers. Contribute to the development of processes, working methods, and system support within the area. The role has many contact points and gives you the opportunity to build a broad network within technical operations, procurement, and the supplier market. Requirements Specification We are looking for someone who combines business acumen and strategic thinking with an inclusive and relationship-building approach. You thrive in collaborating across organizational boundaries and can create structure and progress even when multiple perspectives need to be weighed together. To succeed in the role, you have: Relevant academic education in engineering or equivalent work experience. Experience with sourcing, supplier management, consultant procurement, or a similar operations-related field. Experience driving complex matters together with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Experience with commercial matters and business-oriented supplier dialogues. Experience independently driving assignments to completion and leading or coordinating others in the work. Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English. Driver's license category B. It is meritorious if you have experience from energy, industry, or other technology-intensive operations. We would also like to see that you have worked closely with technical consultant suppliers or a procurement function and have experience with formal management responsibility, coordination responsibility, or management responsibility. You also feel comfortable making business-oriented assessments and driving work forward together with others.
