Your Daily Life as an SOS Operator at 112 As an SOS operator at SOS Alarm, you become an important link in helping people in acute situations. If you thrive in a fast-paced work environment, can handle stress, and have a strong sense of structure and responsibility, you might be who we're looking for! "One of the best things about this job is that no two days are the same." You will meet all kinds of people, questions, and problems. Your main task is to answer incoming calls from people in distress. As an SOS operator, you answer the emergency number 112 and are the first contact for those seeking help before other emergency resources arrive. 112 calls include everything from acute medical cases, traffic accidents, fires, to calls where someone needs a reassuring voice. With interview support and adapted technology, you ensure that the right resources are sent to the right place at the right time. During ongoing calls, you collaborate with colleagues and external resources such as police, fire and rescue services, and ambulances. The work is often conducted at a high pace with those seeking help always in focus. The work is conducted at the SOS control center where you sit in an open environment together with your colleagues. Training To get the right conditions to succeed as an SOS operator at 112 and emergency alarm services, your employment begins with thorough training at our training facility in Kista, alternated with practical training at the control center where you have a supervisor. Therefore, you need to be able to be away from home for a few weeks when training is conducted physically on-site in Kista. We cover all costs associated with travel to our training facility. We're Looking for You We assume that you always want to help the person calling and handle the call from beginning to end. You appreciate clear guidelines, are confident in yourself, and decisive – regardless of which call you handle. The role involves collaboration with colleagues and external stakeholders, which requires good teamwork skills. You are a friendly and attentive person who enjoys talking with people. Since SOS Alarm's operations run 24/7, as an SOS operator you work around the clock, which means you work days/evenings/nights and weekends. We Require: At least three years of work experience Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written Good computer skills and comfort working with different and complex systems Good ability to multitask, as the work requires you to handle multiple tasks at the same time It's an Advantage If You: Have experience working irregular hours Have experience from healthcare, emergency services, alarm centers, or similar Are a nursing assistant or have other relevant experience We Offer You: As an employee at SOS Alarm, we see your well-being as a priority area, and we know that a balance between work and private life is crucial for a sustainable and meaningful working life.
