About Unika's LSS Housing in Vasastan Unika LSS Omsorg operates 6 group homes and 2 service apartments in the Northern inner city on behalf of Stockholm City and is now seeking summer substitutes! Our homes house approximately 4-6 and 12-14 people respectively and are designed for adults with functional variations. There are varying levels of support and service needs across our different homes, but what they all have in common is a cheerful group with a pleasant staff team. About the Role as Support Assistant As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to people with functional variations, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in daily life. You will support the residents in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, and always use their personal implementation plan as your starting point. We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, where we start from each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for residents to achieve as much independence as possible and be able to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you work with clear pedagogical methods and low-affect communication to create security and predictability in the residents' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the organization's resources and budget. Qualifications You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive way, and enjoy cooperating with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Requirements: Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. Good computer skills and experience with documentation. Secondary education such as children and youth programs, care and health programs, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or higher education in a relevant area. Merits if you also have: Experience working in care and health services Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-affect communication. Worked with complex support needs. Terms of Employment Employment type: SÄVA or temporary contract. Degree: Part-time or full-time. Working hours: Rotating schedule with day, evening, and weekend shifts. The group homes have awake night shifts and the service apartments have on-call sleeping duty. Start date: By agreement; we view favorably if you can start soon. Collective agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Sector E. What Can We Offer You?
