Welcome to Envirotainer! About the Role Environtainer was founded in 1985 and today operates more than 10,000 active temperature-controlled containers worldwide. We transport millions of doses of pharmaceuticals daily for all types of pharmaceutical manufacturers and currently cover over 2,000 pharmaceutical distribution channels in over 100 countries and 300 airports. With over 40 years of industry experience, the world's largest pharmaceutical manufacturers trust our products and our ability to deliver—from large volumes of medicines to individual patient samples. Envirotainer currently has approximately 460 employees globally, with around 90 employees at the office and production facility in Rosersberg. As a Software Design Engineer, you will be part of the "Active Systems Design" group, a cross-functional team of 9 employees with developers specializing in software, power systems, climate, and electronics. In addition to your immediate team, you will also interact with other parts of the R&D organization, which consists of the "Mechanical Design" and "Compliance Verification & Documentation" groups, as well as production and other functions at the Rosersberg site. Responsibilities As a Software Design Engineer, you will work on the development of embedded software, from development and implementation to testing using a CI-based approach. The role encompasses both the development of new software solutions and continuous improvements to existing systems. Development is primarily in C/C++, with testing in Python, and the role focuses mainly on MCU/RTOS-based systems (e.g., for power systems), and later also on Linux-based embedded platforms. The position involves a combination of both development and testing, with both being a natural part of daily work. Key Responsibilities: Develop and further develop software and system architecture, and test new and updated functionality. Plan, ensure quality, and deliver software releases. Maintain and further develop existing solutions to ensure their long-term technical sustainability. Contribute technical expertise in your area of responsibility by conducting technical investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and other relevant analyses as needed. Plan and conduct demos of new and updated features for relevant stakeholders. Provide technical support during installation, deployment, and maintenance of systems. Create and maintain technical documentation for both internal and external users. We're Looking for You This is a role for someone with a strong technical interest who is self-driven and takes own initiative to move forward. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working with different functions and people, and you have a structured and thorough work approach.
