The Psychiatric Clinic at Norrland University Hospital in Umeå is the largest psychiatric clinic in Norrland with just over 400 employees. We have three general psychiatric inpatient units, forensic psychiatric operations, several specialized outpatient clinics, and treatment units. The Psychiatric Clinic works toward equitable care and treatment based on research and clinical experience. The Psychiatric Clinic has moved to a newly built facility where the care environment is characterized by the importance of environment in promoting health. Care and work environments are supported by modern technology and research. The Psychiatric Acute Care and Assessment Unit is a multiprofessional clinic where nursing assistants, administrators, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and doctors work together. The unit is a workplace that actively works to use evidence-based methods in our work. The unit's mission is to meet patients in acute situations and conduct structured assessments of patients' wellbeing in order to refer them to the appropriate level of care within the region. The assessment unit has a treatment responsibility while the patient waits for the relevant clinic. Patients may be offered pharmacological treatment as well as limited psychological and social interventions. We are now seeking a social worker to join our team 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES You will work in collaboration with other professionals to assess, treat, and rehabilitate patients requiring specialist psychiatric competence and resources. Your primary responsibilities will consist of working with and developing the ReKo assignment at the unit, as well as customary social interventions. QUALIFICATIONS A degree in social work; experience working in psychiatric care or equivalent work is a merit. Experience with ReKo is also a merit. You can plan and prioritize your work and have the ability to work both independently and with other professional categories.
