Description:

We are looking for you who want to be part of shaping tomorrow's Ale. With us, you deliver service and high-quality services to the residents of Ale. Together, 2,500 employees create an Ale, a municipality that focuses on residents and their needs. Become one of us! About the workplace We are expanding and are therefore looking for social workers for the Intake Group, the Child and Youth Unit in Ale Municipality. Do you enjoy driving improvement processes and are passionate about making a concrete difference for children and families? Then we would like to hear from you! The Child and Youth Unit is part of Individual and Family Care (IFO). In addition to the Child and Youth Unit, IFO consists of Work and Livelihood, Adult Unit, Family Support Unit, and Foster Care and Family Law Unit. All units work closely together to meet the needs of those we serve in the best way possible. Your future workplace at Child and Youth is led by a unit manager and 3 senior social workers. The unit is divided into three groups; an intake group and two groups with social workers who investigate children and young people 0-18 years old. In addition, we have a social administrator in the group who assists with administrative tasks. The office is centrally located in Nödinge center and is easily accessible by public transportation. Job responsibilities Your duties as a social worker in the Intake Group include handling incoming reports or applications for the target group 0-18 years in accordance with the Social Services Act and Compulsory Care Act. You also write statements regarding young offenders. On a rotating basis, you will be responsible for on-call/standby telephone duty that is open during office hours, have a consulting role, and guide and refer both professionals and private individuals who contact us with concerns about a child. The work includes participating in development to reach children and families at an early stage in accordance with the Social Services Act. This means developing and establishing closer cooperation with schools, preschools, and other actors so that children and young people in Ale have their needs met. We offer a fun and developmental assignment where your commitment to children and young people, social work, and the opportunity to mobilize resources in people in vulnerable life situations, are valued. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has completed a degree in social work or meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for working with children and young people. You need to have knowledge of applicable legislation and have experience handling child and/or youth matters using BBIC. The work is conducted in accordance with the Social Services Act, Compulsory Care Act, and other applicable legislation. It is a great advantage if you have experience working in an intake group. We want you to be independent, thorough, and have a good ability to structure and plan your work tasks. You also need to have excellent collaboration skills. You need to be open and curious about trying new working methods, and we would like to see that you are interested in being part of developing the service. Your work requires personal maturity to meet the challenges that arise. Since the work usually involves meeting people in crisis and/or complex life situations, it is important that you can see possibilities, convey hope, and treat people with respect. The work requires that you have a Category B driver's license. We collaborate extensively both within the unit and externally with other professions, so this needs to be a working method you are comfortable with. You have good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Other benefits As an employee in Ale Municipality, we offer you several benefits: -Skills development.
