Social Worker - Adult Services

About Us At the Reception and Adult Services Unit in Lilla Edet, seven social workers are employed, three and four in each respective team, with a Senior Social Worker providing daily support. We are now seeking a new colleague for our adult services team. As a social worker in the adult services team, you work with investigation and follow-up of services for adults with harmful substance use and addiction, social psychiatry, housing issues, and domestic violence. There is a close connection to our support unit consisting of housing support workers, addiction treatment specialists, treatment secretaries, and family therapists. The work consists of both short and long-term processes, a high degree of service and accessibility, and the work tasks are varied. Our adult team's work is characterized by professionalism, good collaboration, high quality, and a focus on development. You work based on several pieces of legislation, particularly the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Compulsory Care of Drug Abusers Act (LVM). Your Role Your work tasks include, among other things, investigating incoming applications and reports and following up on decided interventions. We believe that social change work must be conducted together with the individual in order to achieve positive change in their life situation and create good conditions for the future. Our service hours set working time so that our Mondays are longer, which are compensated with shorter working hours on Fridays. We have flexible hours that can be utilized when operations allow. Collaboration internally with other units and activities within the municipality occurs daily, and cooperation with other authorities such as healthcare, police, and the prison service is also frequent. Since our work is largely based on working together, you need to be comfortable and secure with having close working relationships with your colleagues, where lack of ego and curiosity are important components. Who Are You? To be able to work with us, we require: - A degree in Social Work or other education that the employer considers suitable. - Experience working with authority and responsibility within social services. - Ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written. - Valid driver's license (Category B). - As an employee in Lilla Edet Municipality, you have good digital skills and use digital tools in a secure and flexible way in your daily work. You should also have the ability to be self-directed in dialogue with your manager and colleagues. You are organized and have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. You are also clear in your spoken and written communication and professional in your approach. In contact with those you meet, you are respectful, see possibilities, and convey hope. You enjoy working together with others as well as independently, and you are creative and courageous. You can adjust pace and vary your working methods depending on who you meet.
