The Social Services Office's field team conducts outreach social work in Sollentuna. The target group is young people aged 10-18 years who are at risk of crime, substance abuse, mental health issues, and other social problems. Work is conducted at the individual, group, and structural levels. The goal is to identify and prevent social problems among young people in the municipality in a timely manner.
The field team is part of the Social Services Office's prevention unit, which belongs to the Children and Youth Department.
The Social Services Office's field team consists of five social workers, including one team leader and two school health coordinators. The prevention unit also organizes prevention coordinators, intimate partner violence coordinators, three process leaders, and youth clinic counselors.
One of our employees will be on leave for one year to try other work in the municipality. We are now seeking a temporary replacement.
The field team has established effective collaboration with the Culture and Recreation Office, police, schools, various Social Services operations, and non-profit organizations. The field team works proactively with children and young people in schools, youth centers, and public spaces during day, evening, and night hours.
Structured work is conducted together with other staff in the unit, Mini-Maria, and with the police. This includes work in school classes, parent meetings, welfare conversations, and motivational discussions. The field team also participates in events aimed at young people in the municipality.
Working hours include day, evening, and night shifts. Every other Friday, work is scheduled from 17.00-23.30.
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience working with children and youth, preferably both in administrative/regulatory roles and field work. You want to work proactively and preventatively with children and young people during day, evening, and night hours.
As a person, you are stable, flexible, and have strong collaboration skills. You enjoy building relationships with young people, their parents, and partner organizations.
You can work independently, have a structured approach to work, and good judgment. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
