To meet tomorrow's challenges, we are now seeking a dedicated social secretary for our investigation team who wants to make a difference for children and young people. The Workplace Child and family services is part of the Department of Social Services and Education in Ludvika Municipality. We are approximately 100 employees organized into five units: the Investigation Unit, the Support and Provision Unit, the Foster Care and Family Law Unit, the Open Care Unit, and Ami. The Investigation Unit consists of four functional groups and is led by a unit manager together with two senior social secretaries. We work in teams, often in pairs on cases, and we value close management, reflection time, and a good work environment. Job Responsibilities As an investigating social secretary, you are responsible for investigating children's and young people's needs for support and protection under the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons Act, with the child's best interests in focus. Conduct legally secure, structured, and professional investigations in close dialogue with children, young people, and their families. Assess the need for interventions and collaborate closely with guardians, foster families, schools, preschools, health care, and other internal and external stakeholders. Your Qualifications We require that you have a degree in social work and knowledge of current legislation. You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing and good collaboration and initiative skills. The position requires a B driver's license. It is an advantage if you have experience in the exercise of government authority in the child and youth sector (0–20 years) as well as further education in, for example, systems theory or Signs of Safety. Personal Qualities You are confident in yourself and can maintain a realistic perspective in daily life. You have good ability to document, communicate, and collaborate.
