The Social Services Department is in the midst of the exciting transition to the new Social Services Act, which is not only about how we organize ourselves but also about a new way of thinking about social work. Based on the new Social Services Act, we develop methods of work that are more preventive, outreach-based and area-based. The work has begun but we have a long way to go. Each team has a team leader who provides operational support in daily work. Your immediate manager leads two teams and works in close collaboration with the team leaders. We believe in sustainable social work where relationship-building, quality and cooperation are essential for success. Job Responsibilities As a social worker in Investigation and Follow-up – Children and Young People, you work with authority functions, but above all with creating real change together with children, families and their networks. You meet children and families in both acute and long-term processes and work to find sustainable solutions together with those who are important around the child. Signs of Safety is an important foundation in our work and we see the network as a central part of change work. Collaboration with schools, child and adolescent psychiatry, police and civil society is a natural part of the assignment. The role includes, among other things: investigating and assessing the needs of children and families making decisions and following up interventions according to the Social Services Act, Care of Young People Act and Compulsory Care Act working with children's participation and network-oriented working methods conducting motivation and change work together with families collaborating closely with internal and external actors contributing to the development of the social service of the future and new working methods working in a preventive and promoting manner from a holistic perspective With us, you never work alone on complex cases. When the situation requires it, we are two caseworkers with close support from our team leaders. Qualifications Requirements Degree in Social Work Category B driving license and driving experience Interest in working relationally, in line with the transition to the new Social Services Act. Merits Experience of authority functions within children and young people BBIC basic training Experience of Signs of Safety Experience of outreach, preventive or area-based social work Knowledge of MI (Motivational Interviewing) Experience of network work and collaboration with civil society Who Are You?
