Welcome to the Northern Inner City's Family Unit!
The Children and Family operations area in the Northern Inner City consists of five units; reception for children and youth, a children's group 0-9 years, a children and youth group 0-20 years, a youth group 12-20 years and foster care and family law. Our operations area is led by a district manager and five unit managers. Within the area, three mentors/method supporters and one school coordinator also work.
We can now offer a position in our youth group 12-20 years. The group consists of nine social secretaries who all possess different experiences and knowledge. In the work group we support each other in daily work, we have an open climate and a great deal of job satisfaction.
Your role as a Social Secretary
Your main tasks as a social secretary are to, based on BBIC, investigate children's need for protection and support and follow up interventions according to SoL and LVU. In your work you proceed from a system-oriented perspective, evidence-based practice and you work actively to make the child involved in the process to the highest extent possible. You consider it important to work network-based and together with families identify and strengthen their own resources to create increased protection and security for the children.
You have continuous support from your mentor, unit manager and colleagues as well as internal and external case supervision in your work. The work requires good cooperation with other groups within your own operations but also with external actors such as schools, police and BUP.
Your experience and personal abilities
We are looking for you who have:
Degree in Social Work
Good administrative skills
Easy to express yourself in speech and writing
It is meritorious if you have:
Experience working with investigations within child and youth authority operations
Training and experience in Children's Needs in Focus (BBIC)
Training and experience in Signs of Safety
We are looking for you who want to work with the child in focus and who have ideas and take initiative on how we can create the best conditions for our families. It is important that you have very good collaboration skills, are relationship-building and want to contribute to a good work environment and a safe work group. You are persistent and can switch between working together with others and more independently. You are self-driven, take responsibility for moving the work forward, are structured and can prioritize your work well. You need to have good communication skills both in speech and writing and can adapt to the recipient. As a person you are stable, curious and flexible.
You want to be involved in developing our working methods and have an understanding of the task of working in a politically governed organization.
Great weight will be placed on your personal qualities; we see that it is an important part both in client work but also in terms of being a team member at the unit.
