Social Worker - Social Psychiatry Authority

We are looking for a new colleague We are the social services department working with adults with mental health issues. Our primary responsibility is government administration, and a large part of our daily work involves social work that focuses on meeting and guiding people going through difficult times in their lives. As a unit, we work with a rehabilitative approach, and our goal is for our clients to leave us with their goals achieved. We work methodically with the individual at the center. At the Social Psychiatry Authority, we have 14 social workers, 2 dropout coordinators/mentors, 1 administrator, 0.5 contact secretary, 2 group leaders, and 1 unit manager. We investigate, make decisions, and follow up on decisions regarding support measures for people from age 20 (in some cases 18) with serious mental health conditions according to the Social Services Act. The unit works in teams, with one team working with young adults, one team with people with psychosis, and a third team with other complex psychiatric diagnoses. We also have a reception team. Since 2023, the unit has been working with an additional target group: Adults involved in crime, a small team with social workers and mentors/dropout coordinators. We also run several projects focused on crime prevention. The unit has a therapy dog on staff. We are now seeking a temporary replacement as a colleague will be on parental leave. The temporary position is desired to start November 1st and runs through December 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension. Your responsibilities As a social worker, your main tasks are to investigate clients' need for support services and make decisions, or make recommendations for decisions according to the Social Services Act. It is central to apply your expertise regarding psychiatric conditions/functional limitations in your daily work. Close collaboration with other professions in the adult unit and with other government agencies is an important part of the work. The work also includes collaboration with units within the Psychiatry Center Södertälje. Who are you? As a social worker, you plan your work and contribute with your expertise and work with evidence-based practice to help clients reach their goals. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Social Work or other university education deemed equivalent Meritorious: - Experience with government administration according to the Social Services Act - Experience with the unit's target group, preferably specifically serious mental health conditions. - Strong documentation skills - Experience with IBIC will be prioritized in the selection process We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and diversity in the unit is desired. We are a secure workplace where clear structure and development are established and where dedication to our target group is strong. As a new employee, you will receive workplace orientation and a mentor, as well as a common onboarding program for new employees. The unit applies annual working hours. Possibility exists for remote work one day per week. The Social Psychiatry Authority is located centrally in Södertälje. The unit has approximately 25 employees divided into teams where social workers work with different target groups and collaborate with other professions within and outside the municipality to create good cooperation around the individual. Most have their own offices, but some share an office with a colleague. We are now recruiting for a temporary position with daytime working hours, Monday through Friday. Welcome to us!
