Welcome to Us The Department of Individual and Family is responsible for providing support and assistance to children, young people, and adults in difficult life situations and works preventively so that support is provided at the right time. The Children and Young People – Placement and Open Care area consists of approximately 70 employees who work with placement issues and open care. The Placement Unit, where this position is located, consists of eight social secretaries, three school coordinators, and one unit manager. We follow up on the care of children and young people placed in social services. The primary care forms are SiS, HVB, emergency homes, treatment families, supported housing, training apartments, and SHIS. Your Role The work tasks involve responsibility for a number of cases where you are the child's/young person's social secretary. You act to ensure that the child's/young person's needs and rights are met. You have an independent position to protect the child's best interests and have clear communication to involve the child/young person in care planning. Based on established care plans and implementation plans, you are responsible for carefully following up on the placed child's care through visits, conversations with the child/young person, conversations with guardians, contact with school/preschool, healthcare, etc. The work is flexible and independent with many collaborative partners and individual solutions based on each person's specific needs. The role suits you if you appreciate variety, as several facilities are located outside Stockholm, which involves regular business travel. Your Competence and Experience We're Looking For You Who Have a degree in social work Have several years of experience working with children and young people in social services authority Are knowledgeable in all social services legislation and especially in investigations of children and young people. It Is Advantageous If You: Have a B driving license Have a strong interest in development work for children and young people placed in social services. We're looking for someone who is good at working in a structured way by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well. In this position, it is important to be able to collaborate with others and have the ability to understand another person's perspective or situation. Furthermore, we see that you are calm and stable and have the ability to make sound judgments in a longer perspective.
