Social Secretary for Standard Housing

Work Duties As a social secretary within the Health, Care and Social Services Administration, standard housing unit, you are responsible for investigating the individual's needs, making decisions on interventions, and following up on the quality of these interventions. Your daily work consists of handling incoming phone calls, documenting, conducting individual meetings, and participating in coordinated individual planning sessions. The work also involves collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. Your duties also include contributing with colleagues to the unit's development work with a focus on quality improvement. The unit consists of approximately 60 social secretaries working within a schedule-based structure. We have three senior social secretaries who offer regular case supervision as well as support and guidance in daily work. Qualifications We are looking for you who have: Social Work degree (210 hp) Experience in municipal authority work within the Social Services Act (SoL) Good proficiency in using the computer as a work tool and aid, and the willingness and ability to quickly learn new programs and systems Can ride a bicycle Can express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish It is meritorious if you have: Experience in social work Experience working with applicable legislation in the field and experience in clearly and distinctly justifying your decisions Experience working with elderly populations Experience working with adults with physical and/or mental disabilities, somatic illness, and people with dementia Experience with inter-agency collaboration Training in Motivational Interviewing (MI) We are looking for you who have great commitment to social work and a genuine interest in social issues and the target groups we serve. Additionally, you have the drive expected to contribute to the development of operations. About the Workplace The municipal department consists of approximately 190 employees divided into three units: SVU/short-term care, standard housing, and a unit for fees, placement, and housing. We bring together several different professions within the department: managers, social secretaries, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, administrators, and development secretaries. Since January 2020, we have been located in newly renovated premises centrally situated in Malmö, Storgatan 20, with good public transport connections.
