Social Worker at the Reception Center for Children and Youth in the Central District

We are seeking a social worker for a permanent position at the Reception Center for Children and Youth in the Social Services Administration Central District. In light of the new Social Services Act, we are broadening our information mandate and are therefore expanding our team. You will be part of a stable work group with experienced and knowledgeable social workers with a clear focus on service users. The unit currently consists of 16 social workers at the Reception Center, two introduction coordinators, and two senior social workers, as well as a unit manager. We strive for equity and efficiency that benefits our service users and enables good collaboration with other stakeholders. We are in the implementation phase of Signs of Safety and will focus on this in the coming years. All employees within Children and Youth are offered training in Signs of Safety. Our unit is, together with several other consolidated units, located in central Gothenburg on Skånegatan and we work activity-based in new, fresh premises. Duties The main tasks in your role as a social worker at the Reception Center consist of mapping and preliminary assessing reports based on risk and protective factors concerning children and young people aged 0-20, in accordance with BBIC and applicable legislation. The work involves providing advice and support as well as handling acute situations. The assignment also includes writing statements and collaboration with external and internal stakeholders. As well as informing various stakeholders, both internally and externally, about our mandate. You will receive continuous support and supervision from our senior social workers as well as regular external supervision, to ensure that you have the tools you need to succeed in your role. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and at least 5 years of work experience in authority work within children and youth services. You have practical experience and good knowledge of BBIC and applicable legislation. You also have good documentation skills, are service-oriented, and have a command of Swedish language in speech and writing. Knowledge and experience of working in Treserva as well as Signs of Safety are considered advantageous. If you speak multiple languages and have a category B driver's license, this is also considered advantageous. You adapt easily and adjust your working methods based on changed circumstances and new information. You can quickly change your perspective and approach and see opportunities in change. You work effectively under stress, can balance different demands, and remain calm in difficult situations. You distinguish between facts and persons and can make well-founded decisions under time pressure. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You are based on the equal value of all and create a good atmosphere in the encounter. You have an open and positive attitude as you base your actions on the service user's needs.
