Stockholm – our capital with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm. Bromma District Administration offers you a workplace where your contributions can really make a difference and contribute to social benefit in a growing district. Here, active employee engagement and clear leadership are the foundation for a developing operation. Welcome to us The Social Services and Leisure Department in Bromma District Administration is divided into four different areas. We are now seeking a social worker for the Unit for Addiction and Social Psychiatry, which is one of four units within the Adult Area. The Unit for Addiction and Social Psychiatry is led by a unit manager and a group leader. The unit consists of four social workers who work with substance abuse and addiction, two social workers and a case manager who work at the reception with both social psychiatry and addiction target groups, six benefits handlers who work with the social psychiatry target group, and two administrators. One of our colleagues in the investigation team for substance abuse and addiction has resigned to pursue new adventures, which is why we need a new colleague to fill this position. We hope you want to become part of this competent, fun, and innovative work group where we let the best interests of Bromma residents lead the way forward. What we offer You will become part of a stable and competent work group with high commitment to our target groups and social work. We are located in activity-based premises in Bromma blocks. In Bromma District Administration, we utilize our employees' expertise and collaborate across unit boundaries. We provide wellness allowances, opportunities for flexible vacation scheduling, and flexible working hours. Read more about our Employee Benefits - City of Stockholm As a social worker in the unit, you will participate in case supervision with your immediate work group every week and have good opportunities to develop your skills. Your role As a social worker for individuals with substance abuse and addiction issues, you have the opportunity to work with the individual at the center. Your work as a social worker is both meaningful and multifaceted as you engage in dialogue with the individual user to find the best solution for that particular person. Your work includes, among other things, receiving and investigating incoming applications, making assessments on incoming reports, consulting with colleagues, gathering information, making decisions, and following up on interventions according to the Social Services Act and the Act on Care of Substance Abusers in Certain Cases. Your work is based on the legislation and knowledge support available, and you work based on evidence-based practice, i.e., you use three sources of knowledge: the users' perspective, theoretical knowledge, and proven experience. In your work, you will collaborate both internally with colleagues in the city and externally with partners such as regional authorities, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and the police. Your competence and experience You have a degree in social work, and it is meritorious if you have experience in official authority work with individuals with substance abuse and addiction. You work both independently and in a structured manner by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well. You are relationship-oriented and have a very good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. You are calm, stable, and have the ability to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in the daily work as an official authority representative. You have a problem-solving analytical ability, you work well with complex matters, and can quickly analyze situations and make decisions. You have very good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive manner and enjoy working with other professionals, always keeping the individual in focus. You value differences and understand that different background, culture, and group affiliation can affect yourself and others in different ways. Because the work often involves meeting people in crisis and/or with a complex life situation, it is very important that you yourself can see possibilities, convey hope, and treat people with respect. Good treatment of our users and partners is a matter of course for us. We will place great importance on personal suitability. Interviews will begin before the application deadline expires. We are recruiting without a cover letter in this recruitment to strengthen the focus on the competencies and experience required for this role. In assessing your application, we will only base our evaluation on your CV and a number of questions you will answer in connection with your application. We want you to answer the questions concretely and concisely, and that there is a clear connection between your answers and your CV. The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thereby preventing discrimination. Remember never to upload a criminal record extract from the Police (Data Protection Regulation, GDPR) in connection with your application. Before a possible interview, bring Swedish/EU EEA ID document or passport and relevant original documents for the position, education certificates/diplomas, any issued professional license, certificate, or work permit. To work for the City of Stockholm with children, young people, elderly, and people with disabilities, including work in their homes, you must show an extract from the Police's criminal record and suspicion register. For work with LSS services for children with disabilities, you must submit an extract from the Police's criminal record register. You order the extract yourself and it should not be older than six months, or one year for work with children, from the date of issue.
