Description:

Description "In our work with people, the tasks are varied. Much of this is because financial assistance consists of different components: both motivational work with clients and financial and legal matters. We face many challenges, but our expertise together with support from colleagues and management strengthens us and creates security." This is how two of our social secretaries describe their work in the financial assistance unit. The Income Support Department works with government authority functions and consists of a reception unit and four equivalent units that handle ongoing assistance cases. The units are located at two local offices at Höstvädersgatan 1 and Dunfins gata 20-22 in Hisings Backa. Job Responsibilities At Dunfins gata, two of the department's units are located, and each unit consists of 13 social secretaries, one social administrator, two senior social secretaries, and a unit manager. The units work closely together, so when you join us, you'll have many colleagues! We are now looking for a new colleague for the Financial Assistance Unit 3 at Dunfins gata. As a social secretary, you work with two assignments. One involves motivating and offering services that help individuals become self-sufficient. The other assignment involves investigating and assessing eligibility for financial assistance. In your work, you will collaborate with other actors such as the Social Insurance Agency, healthcare, the Swedish Public Employment Service, as well as internal actors within the social services. We offer you exciting and challenging work, with support from engaged and knowledgeable colleagues. There are great opportunities to shape your own work. We also have process and method supervision, and continuous development work is ongoing in the unit. The units have an important mission, and we want to provide social secretaries with the best conditions to do quality social work. We are curious about you and look forward to you enriching us with your knowledge, thoughts, and ideas! Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. We would like you to have previous experience working with income support, but most important to us is that you want to contribute to our good collaboration. To succeed in the assignment, it is important that you can both exercise government authority while also supporting and motivating individuals. As a person, you are communicative and have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. Furthermore, you are organized and able to follow routines and guidelines. Since you will meet people in vulnerable situations in your work, you must be professional in your professional role and have good interpersonal skills. Because you will collaborate with many different actors, the work requires that you have good collaboration skills and that you are attentive and responsive. Do you think this sounds like an exciting and important assignment? Welcome to submit your application—we conduct selections on an ongoing basis! Terms Selection work will take place on an ongoing basis during the application period. For your interview, you need to bring your passport/national ID and possibly proof of residence permit if you have citizenship outside the EU/EES. This is so we as an employer can verify your identity and ensure that you have the right to work in Sweden. Hisingen is Sweden's fourth largest island and an important part of Gothenburg. There are good connections to Gothenburg's city center, a wide range of restaurants, cafes, and shops, as well as proximity to both urban life and green spaces. The structure of the city district and the diversity among residents and employees make work with us developmental and educational. As an employee with us, you make an important contribution to making Hisingen an attractive place to live, work, and settle. Through your work, you are part of developing the city together with others. About Us The Social Administration Hisingen is part of the social services in Gothenburg City. We are one of four social administrations. We work purposefully to create a better everyday life for residents of Hisingen. We offer support within individual and family care, social emergency services, help with substance abuse, and integration issues. We also work with leisure activities and preventive work such as public health work, urban planning, local safety work, and integration issues. Do you want meaningful and important work?
