The Social Services Department in Askersund Municipality is responsible for elderly care, LSS and care activities, social psychiatry, services for unaccompanied refugee children, and individual and family services. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES We are now looking for a new star for the Social Services' Individual and Family Services unit, adult authority. The unit's core mission is to ensure legally sound and lawful handling of all cases for which the unit is responsible. With respect for the legal frameworks that govern social services, the unit is responsible for authority management according to the Social Services Act (SoL), the Substance Abuse Care Act (LVM), and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Legal security in case handling permeates the entire handling process, and our goal is to provide the right measure to the right person at the right time. As part of the new social services law and being an accessible social service with the citizen in focus, you as a social secretary within the adult unit will therefore be responsible for investigating, assessing, deciding on, and following up on all measures and applications for people 18 years and older for whom you are responsible in your core mission. Both within the framework of financial assistance and the applications/reports concerning adults. We work continuously to achieve legally sound, equal, and impartial authority management, and in your work you proceed from knowledge and proven experience. You also consider current legislation, guidelines, and procedures, and make decisions according to applicable delegation regulations. Client interaction is important; we strive to be respectful, credible, clear, and efficient. Great emphasis is placed on making our citizens participate in the work and receive attentive and professional treatment. The work therefore requires a genuine approach toward our citizens. You also need to have a strong interest in collaborating with other professionals, activities, and authorities. Authority work places high demands on being both flexible and professional. To succeed in this role, you also need to be unpretentious, flexible, and solution-oriented, as well as good at building sustainable relationships, as you are an important key person in your assignment. You can meet set deadlines and you feel confident presenting cases to the board. Furthermore, you have a high ability to structure, plan, and prioritize. At your side, you will have a senior social secretary who supports and coaches you in your daily work. The assignment also includes staying updated on new research, legislation, and directives, and you participate in creating and maintaining routines and functioning processes in daily operations. We are looking for someone with: A degree in Social Work or other education deemed equivalent/relevant for the assignment. Experience in taking responsibility and making decisions. Good ability to document and express yourself both orally and in writing. You are structured, analytical, and have the ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously. Personal maturity and are secure and stable. You drive your processes forward and take responsibility for and implement decisions made. Good knowledge of the LifeCare management system. Knowledge of VINR. Category B driver's license (manual transmission). Meritorious: Several years of experience in authority management and solid knowledge of legislation and handling procedures for the target group and the unit's areas of responsibility.
