Your Assignment As a social secretary with us, you work with authority functions through investigation, assessment, and follow-up according to the Social Services Act (SoL). Your main task is to handle cases regarding financial assistance and follow up on decided interventions. You make assessments of the right to assistance and communicate your decisions in a clear and respectful manner to residents. The goal of our work is to support people toward self-sufficiency based on their individual circumstances and abilities. The work involves many contacts with residents, both through physical meetings and through other forms of communication. You collaborate closely with the labor market unit to create the best possible conditions for individuals to achieve self-sufficiency. The role also includes collaboration with other actors, such as the municipality's other operations, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the region, the Probation Service, and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. Our work is characterized by good service, high quality, and lawful case handling. We offer flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work when operations allow. Description of the Workplace In the Welfare sector, we work with a focus on adults over 20 years of age. The sector brings together operations and expertise that together contribute to strengthening adults' and elderly people's own resources, so they can live as meaningful and independent lives as possible through different phases of life. Here work approximately 1,100 employees who in their professional roles meet people in various life situations, within operations such as care and residential facilities, home care services, home nursing care, disability housing, social psychiatry, addiction centers, and the support unit. We are facing an exciting development phase linked to the activity requirement, where we together with the labor market unit are further developing our joint social work. Your Competence We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or other education that the employer considers equivalent. As a person, you are positive, solution-oriented, and have the ability to see opportunities in a changing environment. You are flexible and enjoy variety in your work. In your manner, you are calm, attentive, and respectful, with good understanding for people's different circumstances in taking in information. You have pedagogical ability and can adapt your communication so that you reach people. You have a holistic perspective, understand your role and assignment, and act in the best interest of the operation. Furthermore, you have a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work in an efficient manner, and you can both set and meet deadlines. We would like it if you have current experience working with financial assistance or other authority functions, as well as good knowledge of different authorities' assignments and responsibilities within the social field. Experience working with support for subsistence/financial assistance is a merit, as is experience with documentation. A B driving license is a merit. It is important that you express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. Good computer skills are a requirement, as the computer is an important work tool in daily work.
