The Unit for Intimate Partner Violence's mission is to provide high accessibility to support services and protective measures for people in need of them. Our target group includes adults exposed to intimate partner violence or honor-related violence and oppression, as well as adults who commit intimate partner violence or honor-related violence. We also work with children whose guardians apply for support due to intimate partner violence or honor-related violence and oppression, as well as children who have been reported after witnessing violence or being exposed to honor-related violence and oppression. With us, social workers, treatment specialists, and counselors work closely together. The unit also has administrative support that is an important resource for the operation. Together we make Gävle safer! 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a social worker at the Unit for Intimate Partner Violence with a focus on adults, you become part of our first line. You have an advisory function, collaborate with other actors, and work actively in the arenas where our residents are. Since open care services for adults are offered without an assistance decision, a large part of your work will consist of advice, motivational conversations, collaboration, and accessible support. You conduct investigations when an application is received and when there is a need to investigate protective measures. You are also an important resource for colleagues working with child investigations, as the unit has shared responsibility for providing coordinated support to the entire family. The work includes qualified case management according to the Social Services Act, including investigation, assessment of the need for emergency protective measures, and follow-up of decisions made in cases concerning intimate partner violence and honor-related violence and oppression. You also have the opportunity to participate in our treatment groups as a group leader together with our treatment specialists. We have a focus on expanding our group activities and see value in our investigators also being able to combine their position with these tasks if interested. QUALIFICATIONS Formal competencies: • Social work degree. • Category B driving license and driving experience as travel occurs in the position. • Relevant experience with the target group and public authority exercise within the Social Services Act. For this position, an extract from the police's criminal record register is required. This will only be requested from the final candidate in the last step of the recruitment process.
