Welcome to help shape the future of social services where we work together with the needs of community residents in focus! Within our operations, we meet all ages, including children, young people, parents, persons with harmful use or addiction, social psychiatric functional impairments, victims of violence, and persons in need of maintenance support. We work with authority functions, needs-assessed interventions, as well as preventive and advisory services to reach people early. We are facing a change where the social services sector and the health and care sector will merge into a new combined sector, the welfare sector. The purpose is to create better conditions to meet future needs and challenges through strengthened collaboration, more secure competency supply, and more comprehensive support to residents. Work on the new organization is ongoing and may result in changes to department and unit divisions in the coming period. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS As one of our employees will be on parental leave, we are strengthening our follow-up unit with an additional social secretary. The position involves follow-up and work with children placed in residential care (HVB), SiS, or with interventions from our open care. Here in Skövde, social services are organized to provide both you as an employee and the families we meet with the best possible support. When an investigation leads to a decision on an intervention, our unit takes over and ensures that children and young people receive the right help and support over time. The work takes place close to colleagues, with support from senior social secretaries, unit managers, SUA, and our social administrators. We offer a pleasant and development-oriented workplace with engaged colleagues and community in everyday life. You will receive supervision and support both internally and externally, as well as opportunities for skills development through the Professional Journey program and other training based on both the organization's and the employee's needs. As our employee, you have flexible working hours, wellness benefits, and the opportunity for vacation exchange. As a new employee, we provide clear and organized onboarding. Do you want a varied, challenging, and rewarding task where you contribute to creating security and positive change for children and families in Skövde? Then you could be our new colleague! QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in social work who wants to make a real difference for children and young people. You have a strong ability to create and maintain trusting relationships and meet children, parents, and families with respect, attentiveness, and commitment. Your interest in children's development and your understanding of different life situations enable you to provide support tailored to each child's unique needs. You thrive in a role where case management, documentation, and collaboration are a natural part of everyday work, and you communicate easily both orally and in writing. We value that you have the will and courage to think innovatively and contribute to the development of our work methods. A Class B driver's license is required. Previous work experience from social services and authority case management for children and young people is a merit, as is good knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations within child welfare. Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis, so don't delay your application. Employment type: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent.
