We in the Youth Unit are therefore looking for someone who is eager to meet this target group together with us and our collaboration partners. Working with young people is fast-paced, exciting, and challenging. Due to the significant national focus on the unit's target group, much development work is underway. The unit has recently begun implementing the assessment tool Ester and RBM principles. Work with Signs of Safety is also in progress. Contact with researchers from Malmö University has also been initiated. To meet national developments, there are plans to strengthen the Youth Unit in the form of a new section with a new manager, a new senior social worker, an increase in the number of social workers, and the establishment of a placement team. We also plan to establish senior case handlers with the task of supporting new employees to improve onboarding. Management support will also be assigned in the autumn to relieve the managers. In our administration, as a social worker you will receive support from placement coordinators when searching for placement at an institution. The unit also has a school coordinator who supports ensuring continuous schooling during placement. Work Tasks As an investigating social worker at the Youth Unit (behavioral cases, 13–20 years) within social services, you work with investigating young people's need for interventions according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act. Your main task is to conduct investigations, follow-ups, and reassessments of assistance according to Children's Needs in Focus (BBIC). The investigative work also includes collaboration with the young person's network and conducting motivation work with the family. The work involves qualified investigative and follow-up work characterized by good treatment, well-founded decisions, and high legal security, and involves great variety and diversity. We value the perspectives and opinions of children and parents, and we work to ensure that children and young people are involved in their investigations and follow-ups. Qualifications To be relevant for the position, you have: Degree in Social Work At least 3 years of experience in social work after graduation Able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing Meritorious: Experience with authority under the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act Experience in social work concerning children and young people Documented further training in the field Knowledge of or experience with BBIC, MI, or Signs of Safety Experience working in Lifecare Knowledge of languages other than Swedish and English B driving license for manual transmission cars The work places demands on your ability to create and maintain relationships with children and young people, their families, and our various collaboration partners.
