Job Responsibilities The Housing Unit on Hisingen is now seeking a social worker for our team that works with housing services, with the goal of reducing homelessness! A safe, permanent home is a basic need in order to address all aspects of life, which makes this assignment so meaningful and interesting! The Housing Unit handles cases concerning municipal contracts, reference housing, and emergency assistance. The unit is also responsible for Hisingen's Eviction Prevention efforts and Housing Advice. The work group consists of 16 social workers and two senior social workers, and is based at Höstvädersgatan 1. Your main task as a social worker is to investigate applications, assess the need for interventions and the right to assistance according to the Social Services Act. A large and significant part of the assignment is to work in fast processes around emergency assistance, with the goal of providing the individual with the tools they need to solve their housing situation on their own in the near future. You are also tasked with driving and following up that the measures granted lead to the goals formulated together with the individual. In case processing, you apply the Administrative Procedure Act, the Social Services Act, confidentiality legislation, and other regulations, provisions, and procedures that govern our operations. In your work, you collaborate internally with colleagues in other units, with authorities and other external actors who play a role on the path to permanent housing. You are offered support through method supervision from a senior social worker and group process supervision, and you have the opportunity to work remotely one day per week! We welcome your application! Qualifications You must be a social worker or hold another academic degree that the employer considers equivalent. You are familiar with the legislation and regulations that govern our operations and have the ability to apply them. You understand the importance of legally secure case processing and what it means in practice. Since the assignment as a social worker is based on conversations, meetings, and documentation, it is a requirement that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. The assignment further requires that you are comfortable in social situations, both informal and formal. You can stand by decisions you have made, even when they are difficult. For our operations to function optimally, both for our target group and for the unit, you take responsibility for both your own tasks and the unit's shared work tasks, and are prepared to "get stuck in" where and when needed. Furthermore, you need to be able to ask colleagues and management for advice, support, and help when there are uncertainties regarding your work tasks. You should be able to contribute knowledge and experience to your colleagues and to the unit as a whole. Previous experience as an authority-exercising social worker is meriting, as is familiarity with our documentation system Treserva.
