About the Assignment We are seeking a social worker for our client in Gislaved for a consulting assignment starting as soon as possible and lasting six months, with the possibility of extension. The position is full-time (100%) and performed on-site five days a week. You will work with public authority responsibilities for children and youth, where you are responsible for investigating children's and young people's need for protection and support, as well as following up on approved interventions and placements. We are looking for someone who is confident in public authority work and has good experience working with children and youth. Your Responsibilities In this role, you will work with public authority responsibilities within social services. The work includes investigating children's and young people's needs, assessing risk and protective factors, and making or proposing decisions according to delegation. Further, you will: Plan, conduct, and document investigations. Conduct interviews with children, guardians, and other people in the child's network. Gather information from, for example, schools, healthcare, and other stakeholders. Assess the child's needs and parents' capacity. Assess the need for interventions and make or propose decisions according to delegation. Prepare care plans, implementation plans, and other relevant documentation. Initiate and follow up on open care services and other approved support measures. Handle cases according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons Act. Where necessary, participate in court proceedings. Ensure the child's participation and that the child's views are documented and considered. Monitor care and placements at residential care facilities and ensure that the care meets the child's needs. Collaborate with family, network, and other professional stakeholders. Your Qualifications Social Worker degree. At least five years of professional experience in similar public sector work. Experience with public authority work with children and youth. Knowledge of applicable legislation, especially the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons Act. Completed training in BBIC. Knowledge and experience with the municipality's information system Combine. Basic computer skills and experience with electronic record management. Good experience with documentation according to operational requirements. B-class driver's license. Ability to work five days a week on-site in Gislaved. A police background check must be provided to the municipality before the assignment begins.
