– A job with room for commitment The Children and Family Unit is developing and we are now looking for you, a social worker with experience and interest in working with children, parents, and families within individual and family services in Krokom Municipality. We welcome your application! Welcome to us! At Children and Family, 15 social workers are employed, including three senior social workers and an immediate decision-making manager. We are divided into intake, investigation and interventions, and family law functions. The legislation we primarily base our work on is the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young People Act (LVU). Our work involves a great deal of collaboration with both internal and external partners. The Social Administration's individual and family services (IFO) are organized in four units: the Children and Family Unit, the Adult Unit, the Open Care Unit, and the Employment and Integration Unit. The Social Administration consists of 600 employees with a broad range of responsibilities. The administration is divided into five operational areas and is present throughout the municipality. We are responsible for providing care, support and services, as well as health and medical care to the municipality's citizens who need it, at all stages of life. A day as a social worker at Children and Family As a social worker with us, you will, among other things: Investigate and make decisions primarily according to the Social Services Act and LVU Handle cases and conduct child welfare investigations as well as follow up on interventions and placements Work closely with families, networks, and other professional actors to find the best solutions for the children and young people we are responsible for Stay updated with current legislation and develop your knowledge in the field A day with us means you work in a positive and supportive environment where you have the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally. Your qualifications We are looking for you who: Have a degree in social work and documented experience in authority-based work within the field of children and young people Have experience with child welfare investigations and/or working with placed children Have knowledge of current legislation, primarily the Social Services Act and LVU Are empathetic, flexible, and value collaboration As a person, you are self-directed and courageous.
