The Children and Family Unit consists of a senior social secretary, intake, investigation group, family care group consisting of two child secretaries and two foster care secretaries, and administrative support. WORK TASKS Support and Care in Tomelilla Municipality is seeking an engaged social secretary for the children and family authority unit. As a social secretary, you are responsible for conducting investigations according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Care of Young People (LVU), focusing on children and young people aged 0-21 years. You grant and follow up on support and treatment interventions aimed at creating safe and developing environments for each child. In acute situations, you need to be able to make quick and well-founded assessments and make decisions with the child's security and safety as the primary guide. The work requires high independence within the framework of applicable legislation, guidelines, and proven experience. You collaborate closely with the child's network and key stakeholders such as preschools, schools, child and adolescent psychiatry services, police, and other cooperation partners. Good treatment, trust, and a holistic perspective are central parts of our operations, as is ensuring that every decision and intervention is shaped with the child's best interests in focus. Through your assignment, you contribute to the operation being characterized by high professionalism, trust, and respectful treatment where each child is met with attentiveness, participation, and security. You will become part of a competent and supportive team. In daily work, you receive guidance from both the unit manager and senior social secretary, who together with you and colleagues drive the operation's method development. You are also offered external supervision to strengthen your professional development. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for an experienced social worker with: • Social work degree. • Experience with investigation work within social services. • Good knowledge of legislation within SoL and LVU. • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing. • Good collaboration skills and communication abilities. • B-class driver's license required. You are attentive to children's and families' needs and have a good ability to create trusting relationships even in vulnerable and complex life situations. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work in a structured way. You enjoy collaboration and actively contribute to a good work environment. As a person, you are development-oriented and reflective with good analytical skills—qualities that contribute to both legally secure decisions and continuous improvement of operations. It is advantageous if you have: • Experience with authority work within children and families based on BBIC. • Experience working with intimate partner violence. • Training in MI, Freda, Patriark, Signs of Safety. • Other language skills.
