The unit consists of the reception group, which handles reports concerning children, family law, and the placement group. The placement group consists of two smaller groups, five child secretaries, four foster care secretaries, and one administrator. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In your role as a social secretary for placed children and youth/child secretary, you will work with: • following placed children in emergency care/foster homes through regular child conversations, home visits • receiving reports of concern and investigating concerns in your cases according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons Act • receiving applications in your ongoing cases and investigating the applications • writing assessments according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons Act, assessing need for interventions, and following up on approved interventions • preparing cases for and attending the Social Committee • participating in court proceedings with support from management • exercising legally secure authority and documentation • maintaining close collaboration with the family law unit regarding investigations concerning guardianship transfers • contributing to operational development in the unit together with other units and external parties. The work is largely independent, but also occurs in close collaboration primarily with other foster care secretaries and child secretaries. You will also work closely with management. In your role, you will have contact with children, guardians, networks, and emergency care/foster homes. You will also have contact with collaboration partners both within and outside the municipal organization, which is a success factor for sustainable planning. The work includes actively seeking information to keep yourself updated on legal developments and other relevant information for the area. In addition, you participate in our joint work with continuous improvements to simplify and clarify contact with us. We document our work in the Treserva case management system. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • a degree as a social worker or another, for this role, relevant academic degree that includes studies in central knowledge areas such as social work, social law, administrative law, and psychology • good knowledge of legislation and authority practice within child and family law • strong ability to express yourself clearly in speech and writing in Swedish • basic IT skills • valid driver's license with category B. It is meritious if you have previous work experience in: • authority practice within child and family services • authority practice within other parts of social services • the Treserva case management system. It is also meritious if you have training in Signs of Safety, Partnering for Safety, or equivalent. As a person, you are interested in meeting people and have the ability to understand different situations from your professional role. You are confident and secure in yourself and have the ability to act calmly, in a controlled manner, and independently in stressful situations. You structure your work independently and can prioritize among the tasks to be performed. Furthermore, you are flexible and can manage several complex cases simultaneously. Your ability to communicate and build trust with both the individual and relatives and collaboration partners is crucial for your success in this role.
