Your Responsibilities
You will be one of several social workers at the Investigation Unit, led by two unit managers. The unit consists of four work groups, three of which focus on traditional investigation work. As a social worker in our fourth work group, you'll be part of an engaged team where different competencies meet and complement each other.
Here, HVB case handlers, the network team, and our enhanced investigation team work together.
The group works with institutional placements (HVB/SiS), network-based interventions, and complex investigations – often in situations requiring creativity, courage, and innovative thinking. You ensure that children and young people who are placed receive appropriate support and that their care is safe, legally sound, and aligned with established goals.
In your daily work, you will primarily:
Work with children and adolescents involved in crime and/or substance abuse, together with their families. Maintain contact with HVB and SiS facilities, follow up on interventions, and ensure that care, support, and treatment needs are met. Meet and speak with children, young people, and their families in a respectful and attentive manner. Be present where young people are – which may involve longer trips. Document according to BBIC standards and ensure high quality in investigations and assessments. Plan and follow up on the care pathway together with colleagues and external partners, ensuring that decisions are implemented and sustained over time.

Your Qualifications
To be suitable for this position, you need:
Social Work degree B-level driver's license Strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Good computer skills Ability to take responsibility, make decisions, and work independently in your profession Ability to remain calm and professional in pressured and complex situations
