Essunga Municipality is now expanding its workforce and is seeking a social worker for our child and youth services. With us, you will have excellent conditions for conducting professional and sustainable social work. You have access to methodological support and assistance with case handling, as well as close leadership with a manager available in your daily work. The operation has both an experienced manager and an experienced senior social worker on site, which provides security, continuity, and support in your role. As an employee, you will also have the opportunity to participate in developing and shaping work methods in a smaller organization where your ideas are valued and can be quickly put into practice. To create balance between work and personal life, there is also the possibility of remote work up to two days per week. Essunga is a small municipality with short decision-making processes and close cooperation, which means you clearly see the results of your work and have the opportunity to work closely with both colleagues and those we serve. About the assignment The unit is responsible for investigating, assessing, and making decisions regarding support and protection needs for children, young people, and their families. The work is governed by the Social Services Act (SoL) and, when necessary, the Act on Care of Young People (LVU), as well as other relevant legislation. With a clear focus on home-based solutions, we work with change processes together with families in close cooperation with open care and other actors. As a social worker, you work with the entire case process, from intake and preliminary assessment to follow-up of interventions. The assignment includes investigations and needs assessments, cooperation with schools, healthcare, and other actors, work with foster families, and follow-up of children's placements in the role of case worker for children. The work also includes contributing to preventive work and to the operation's development. Who are you? We are looking for someone who is educated as a social worker (socionom) or holds a bachelor's degree from a social pedagogy program (180 hp, Högskolan Väst from 2003). It is advantageous if you have experience with authority work as well as work with children and young people. Experience with BBIC and the case management system LifeCare is also advantageous. As a person, you are responsible, structured, and have a good ability to plan and organize your work. You are flexible and can adapt your working approach based on the operation's needs and changing conditions. Furthermore, you have a professional approach, good collaboration skills, and actively contribute to knowledge and experience sharing within the work group. The best interests of the child permeate your work, and you strive to create security and good conditions for the children, young people, and families you meet. Why Essunga Municipality? In Essunga, you will work in a close-knit organization where engagement is visible, development happens together, and you have the opportunity to influence both work methods and the operation's content. Here, cooperation, professionalism, and a long-term perspective in work for children and young people are valued. Would you like to be part of creating security for children and young people in Essunga Municipality? We warmly welcome your application. We strive for an equal gender balance and view diversity as a strength, and therefore welcome applicants with different backgrounds. In connection with the recruitment process, we have taken a position on recruitment channels and marketing.
