Your Tasks We are now seeking a Social Worker for foster care services in the Recruitment and Matching unit. In your role as a Social Worker in our unit, you will be placed in either the investigation group or the follow-up group. The investigation group is responsible for identifying resources, conducting assessments and matching the right children to the right foster families/contact families/contact persons. In the follow-up group, you will follow up with families/contact persons in their assignments, providing support, guidance and mentoring. The role includes some contract writing and financial calculations. Both groups work closely together. Your work also includes collaboration with other social workers in the department, such as the child's social worker. Your Workplace As a social worker, you work based on the objectives decided by the Social and Care Committee. The committee's activities should be characterized by professional conduct and good accessibility. Authority functions should be exercised with legal certainty and efficiency. The work requires great flexibility and experience as needs vary based on the individual's circumstances and work with different target groups. The Social Services Department consists of the departments Children and Youth (0-20 years), Adults, Local Social Services, LSS and administrative/operations support. The Children and Youth Department consists of four investigation and follow-up units, the Recruitment and Matching unit, and units for providing residential and open care. The department is tasked with investigating, following up, providing and delivering services based on the target group's needs as well as driving quality and development work with a focus on children and youth. The department consists of approximately 210 employees. It is led by a department manager and 8 unit managers as well as 12 coordinators/senior social workers. The department collaborates with other departments, for example the Local Social Services Department where our reception services for children and adults are organized, as well as family law and other open care services. In the Recruitment and Matching unit, 15 social workers are employed and within the unit there are also 7 Resource Coordinators who match appropriate services to children and adults such as LSS housing, open care, HVB homes, short-term care, and we also have the task of being the face outward to find volunteer resources for various assignments such as foster families, contact families and contact persons. The unit also has 2 consultants who support foster families. Working hours are Monday-Friday, 07:50-17:00 with a flexible working hours agreement and you will be located at Drottninggatan 45. About You We are seeking someone with a degree in social work or a degree in behavioral science with courses in psychology, social work, administrative law and social law. If you have experience in treatment work related to family and children within, for example, open care or 24-hour care, we consider that a merit. We also value experience in investigation work and follow-up within social authority work and experience in foster care services. You also have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as the position involves internal and external contacts with corresponding documentation. The position involves travel, which requires you to have a driver's license category B. To succeed in the role of social worker, you have the ability to understand others' perspectives without taking on their feelings. Since the workday can change quickly, we see that you easily adapt to changed circumstances and have the ability to change your perspective. You also plan, organize and prioritize work in an adequate manner and you work well with other people where you listen, communicate and resolve conflicts in a constructive way. You remain calm and controlled in stressful and pressured situations. In this role you may face difficult trade-offs, and this requires that you can weigh complex information and make correct assessments and prioritizations.
