The Social Services Department in Askersund Municipality is responsible for elderly care, LSS and care services, social psychiatry, services for unaccompanied refugee children, and Individual and Family Services. We are now seeking a caseworker for our financial team who wants to be part of the chain in our important mission to support the municipality's residents toward sustainable self-sufficiency. The unit consists of 3 caseworkers and 1 senior social secretary. The unit belongs to Individual and Family Services and works closely with adult caseworkers in the areas of dependency and harmful substance use, outpatient care, and the municipality's employment unit. We want to offer the best possible social services within the given framework. In our work, we want to know what our interventions lead to and keep the citizen in focus in everything we do. DUTIES You will become part of a small, committed, and creative team that has job satisfaction and a focus on the mission. The adult unit as a whole works continuously to develop its operations, and the person we seek should be involved and contribute to development and feel engaged in the change process and transition toward new social services legislation. Furthermore, the unit's core mission is to ensure lawful and legally compliant handling of all cases for which the unit is responsible. With respect for the legal framework governing social services, the unit is responsible for public administration according to the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Care of Abusers (LVM), and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. We consider the following as meriting: social work degree knowledge of and experience with investigations, case handling, and documentation in public administration at least one year's experience with the target group, including experience with needs assessment For us, it is very important that you show great commitment and interest in the target group while having the ability to maintain clear focus based on the mission. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good documentation skills, current knowledge of social legislation, and a valid driver's license (Category B).
