Do you want to be part of addressing some of social services' most important challenges? We want to be honest that we face significant challenges – but also great opportunities. That's why we're looking for someone like you who sees possibilities where others see obstacles, is confident in your profession, and wants to contribute knowledge, commitment, and courage. With us, you'll be part of developing a family foster care service where the child's best interests truly guide our work. Our direction – the child's best interests at the center We want to create a family foster care service where children's rights according to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child not only guide our work but permeate our decisions, interventions, and follow-ups. To succeed, we need to build sustainable structures, strengthen collaboration between different professions, and ensure that the right interventions are provided at the right time. We want to create a social service that feels safe, clear, and present for children, parents, and foster families. The child's future in focus Our mission is about more than managing today's situation – we need to create conditions for the child's future. We work to strengthen parents' caregiving capacity and enable reunification when possible and deemed to be in the child's best interest. To support this, we have, among other things, our newly established Stella reception and our cross-professional SUIT team that works with families where concerns are high and the risk of placement is significant. When reunification is not possible, we take responsibility for ensuring the child has a safe and stable upbringing. At the same time, we protect the child's relationships, identity, and sense of belonging. We also know that secure foster homes are crucial for children's development. That's why we want to develop close and professional support for our foster families through supervision, follow-up, and opportunities for experience sharing. Foster families should feel seen, involved, and equipped for their important mission. What we offer Opportunity to influence and develop the service A new leadership structure where a manager is specifically responsible for introduction, support, and competence development. Internal training is planned for all staff. The position is a permanent full-time employment or by agreement. We're looking for someone who Has a degree in social work Feel confident in conversations with children and have a clear child perspective Preferably have education in children's rights or children's rights work Find it easy to build relationships and provide support to both parents and foster families Have experience with public authority work, case management, and documentation Express yourself well in speech and writing Have a valid driver's license (category B) As a person, you are structured, collaboration-oriented, and solution-focused. You appreciate clear working methods and want to be part of creating a service where the child's best interests is not just an ambition – but a reality.
