JOB DUTIES
We are looking for a new colleague who wants to work as a social worker for economic assistance as one of our employees will be on parental leave.
You will be part of the Department of Individual and Family Care and the Work and Livelihood Unit. Here we work with economic assistance, budget and debt counseling, and labor market measures. The team consists of a unit manager, four social workers, four work leaders, a labor market advisor, and a coordinator.
You will investigate, assess, and make decisions regarding the right to economic assistance.
Through social change and motivation work, we work together with our clients to find ways to self-sufficiency. We have close collaboration with other staff at the Department of Individual and Family Care, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and others.

As a new employee, you will be assigned a mentor and introduced to the work and the municipality according to our introduction program.
The employment is fixed-term with possible opportunity for extension.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a social work degree with knowledge of current social legislation. Experience in handling economic assistance cases is desirable.
It is important that you have a professional approach as we meet people in vulnerable situations. As a person, you are clear, responsible, flexible, and have a good ability to cooperate.
Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
You must have a Class B driver's license.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: Start: September 15, 2026, or by agreement. Ends: April 30, 2027.
