Are you an experienced social worker with substantial expertise in investigation work with children and youth? Have you worked as a consultant in this field and are comfortable with authority functions under the Social Services Act (SoL) and Care of Young Persons Act (LVU)? Then this assignment in Dalarna might be right for you. About the Assignment We are seeking two experienced social workers for a consultant position in child and youth services in Dalarna. The assignment involves handling child and youth cases with a primary focus on investigation work. Your role will include conducting initial assessments, investigating cases, and following up on interventions. You will be part of an established child and youth services unit with intake, investigation, interventions, and placements, as well as other support functions. The operation also has managers, development specialists, and group leaders to support you in daily work. The assignment starts no later than October 12, 2026, and runs for four months, with the possibility of extension for up to 12 months. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week. Work will primarily be on-site, with some opportunity for remote work based on operational needs. Your Responsibilities In this role, you will: • Handle child and youth cases. • Conduct initial assessments. • Investigate child and youth cases. • Follow up on approved interventions. • Exercise authority in accordance with applicable legislation. • Document and work systematically in the Treserva management system. • Collaborate with children, youth, guardians, and other relevant stakeholders. • Work independently with high quality even at a fast pace. Your Qualifications • Degree in Social Work or equivalent higher education. • Training in BBIC. • At least 7 years of professional experience in investigation work with children and youth. • At least 2 years of experience as a consultant in investigation work with children and youth. • Strong knowledge of SoL, LVU, and LBSB legislation. • Experience working in the Treserva system during the past three years. • Valid B-class driver's license. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. • Ability to work systematically and independently with high quality. • Good judgment and professional demeanor. Merits include: • More than 12 years of experience in investigation work with children and youth. • More than 5 years of experience as a consultant. • Training in Signs of Safety. The assignment requires two relevant references from previous assignments or positions within social services. References must be from a manager or supervisory position.
