JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of our team, you will work closely with each individual and help them reach their full potential and an independent life. The target group is adults with support needs due to social vulnerability, for example as a result of mental health issues or substance abuse problems, etc.
You use your pedagogical approach to create participation and promote independence among our users. Your work will be varied and includes working directly in the user's home for a comfortable home environment, in common areas, and in various venues where people meet. You motivate participation in activities and occupations to counteract involuntary loneliness and exclusion. You shall assist and provide support to the user in receiving and implementing changes based on their individual ability to create a functioning daily life.
The work requires documentation according to the Social Services Act and other administrative tasks. Collaboration with internal and external partners is an important part and is included in the work to achieve the best results.
As an employee in the Adult Support Team, you will have scheduled working hours, which means weekdays, weekends, and evenings. Solo work may occur. The position includes scheduled on-call duty at home. In home on-call duty, you provide support to users but also participate in the municipality's crisis support for unforeseen events. You will have the support of a coordinator who manages and guides you in daily work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a social or treatment pedagogue or someone with equivalent qualifications as assessed by the employer. You have at least two years of post-secondary education.
It is meritorious if you have:
• Knowledge and experience of MI, ESL, and low-affective interaction, etc.
• Knowledge and experience of working with the target group.
• Knowledge and experience of the Housing First method.
To succeed in your work with us in the Adult Support Team, you need to have a positive view of people and great commitment. You see possibilities in challenging situations and see the positive in collaborating and being part of a humble team where we learn from each other. You must be able to work independently, responsibly, and be confident in making your own decisions based on the current situation.
