Your Tasks The NPF team is part of the Treatment Unit for Children and Youth within the Social Services Department. The team works with families where children and young people between 0 and 18 years old have a neuropsychiatric disability. Many of these families live a daily life characterized by high demands, stress, and complex challenges. Therefore, we offer easily accessible, individually tailored, and practically oriented support. As a social pedagogue in the NPF team, you work to strengthen and coach parents in their parenting role. You help families find functioning strategies in everyday life and contribute with knowledge, guidance, and concrete support based on each family's unique circumstances. The work is varied and a large part of the support is provided in families' home environments at times adapted to their needs. You combine conversational support with a practical and pedagogical approach where you work together with the family to implement strategies and knowledge in everyday situations. In this role, you will, among other things: Provide support and guidance to parents of children and young people with NPF diagnoses. Plan and implement individually tailored interventions. Work pedagogically in families' home environments and everyday situations. Lead supportive conversations and strengthen the family's own resources. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders regarding the family's needs. Contribute to creating structure, understanding, and sustainable strategies for children and parents. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Requirements A social pedagogy degree or other post-secondary education of at least two years that the employer considers equivalent. Knowledge and experience working with families where children or young people have an NPF diagnosis. Driver's license category B. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. To succeed in this role, you need to have good collaboration skills. You build trusting relationships and cooperate well with both families, colleagues, and other professionals to create the best possible support around the child. You use networking as a natural tool in your work. By creating and maintaining relevant contacts, you help families access the right support and resources. The work also requires good problem-solving skills. You analyze situations, identify needs, and find practical and sustainable solutions based on the family's circumstances and everyday challenges. Since the assignment often involves meeting families in complex situations, you need to have well-developed stress resilience. You remain calm, make well-considered priorities, and maintain professional conduct even when the workday places high demands on flexibility and adaptation.
