About the Position De la Gardie Upper Secondary School, one of Sweden's largest high schools, offers a wide range of programs and courses. With approximately 2,000 students and over 250 employees, it is a school full of life and possibilities. We are now seeking a social pedagogue who wants to help develop our teaching and create good conditions for our students to reach their goals and shape their future. The assignment is mainly connected to Unit 3, which includes the Social Science Program and the Business Program. It may also be relevant to work with other units at De la Gardie Upper Secondary School, based on the school's needs. Responsibilities You will primarily work in a supportive and preventive manner at the individual and group level, with a focus on creating and strengthening a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that enables students to succeed in their studies. The role includes building trusting relationships with students and being a safe and present contact in the school's daily life. You support students in their studies and personal development, help students find planning and structure in their studies, work to create motivation, and contribute to strengthening students' study skills, attendance, and prepare them for future higher education. Together with your team, you will work on group-strengthening and preventive measures and contribute to activities that create safety and a good study environment. Your work includes working with the student and the school's other professionals to reinforce positive strategies and create sustainable solutions. Work is conducted in close collaboration with teachers, teams, student support services, and the principal. Together, you will work to create good conditions for students' development, learning, and goal achievement. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, cooperation skills, flexibility, and the ability to work in various types of teaching situations. About You You have higher education training in social pedagogy, are a social worker, or have other education that the employer considers equivalent. You are naturally skilled at creating contact with both adults and young people and are accustomed to working both in teams and independently. You have a strong ability to build trusting relationships. If you have previous experience working with young people in similar roles, that is a merit. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. It is important that you are a safe and independent person who consistently upholds the values that the school stands for. Other Information Fixed-term employment for the school year 26/27, full-time. Selection and interviews may take place continuously during the application period. We apply individual and differentiated salary setting. For this position, the monthly salary is between 35,000 and 38,000 kr, depending on experience, education, and competence.
