The work is flexible based on the activities' and students' needs. As a social pedagogue, you work closely with teachers and the student health team. You build relationships with students by being present in hallways, common areas, or where students spend their breaks. Together with the other social pedagogues at the school, you plan meaningful and enjoyable break activities in the school's common areas. You are part of the school's safety team, which means you speak with students and investigate conflicts, as well as work preventatively and supportively during mentoring time or through targeted interventions. You are an important part of the school's values-based work. You help coordinate programs for the school's vacation schools during the school year. You assist in complex student situations, talk with students and guardians, and coordinate information and communication within the school. You also represent the school in contact with partners such as social services, police, field coordinators, youth centers, or colleagues from other schools or departments within Solna Municipality. The work also involves being active in the school's systematic absence procedures and working with students with problematic school absence. The goal is that together we strengthen students' attendance, achievement, and well-being at school. It is important that you can document your work in writing both in Solna Municipality's system and in written communication to various partners. What Are We Looking For? We are seeking someone who has social pedagogy education, or alternatively other equivalent education in behavioral science or social work experience working with children and youth in a middle school environment the ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. We consider it a merit if you have experience in the role of social pedagogue knowledge of NPF and accommodations in schools experience with students with problematic school absence and social issues. To succeed in the role of social pedagogue with us, we see that you are a calm and secure person with good self-awareness who can be a role model for our students. You have the ability to work independently while also thriving when working closely with students, colleagues, guardians, and other partners to create the best conditions for each student. You find it easy to build trusting relationships and through a responsive, respectful, and inclusive approach, you create participation and motivation among students. You have good judgment and the ability to act professionally even in challenging situations. You work in a structured way, plan and organize your work effectively, and follow up on initiatives in a systematic manner.
