Jens Billeskolan is an F-9 school in Billesholm with approximately 500 students. We have just over 65 staff members at the school—teachers in school and after-school programs, support staff, and special educators. The school is located in a natural area with proximity to both forest and large green spaces, and adjacent to our facilities are a swimming hall and sports hall. The schoolyard encourages movement and play with a multi-arena offering various activities, climbing structures, and a soccer field. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a social pedagogue, you work actively with preventive and health-promoting values-based work together with the student welfare team and the safety and attendance team. You also work in close collaboration with teachers and other educators as well as school management. You have a special focus on students' social development, safety, and well-being. You have the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues alike. You create trust and security for our students and awaken their motivation for learning. You do this through a solution-focused approach and much positive reinforcement and praise. You show that you care about them and that you are there for them as a safe adult who stands by them and supports them in big and small ways. You are a responsible and confident person who is passionate about creating a safe school. Some courage and personal maturity are required to successfully lead conversations about difficult topics with students and their guardians. It is important to be able to act professionally and patiently even in very difficult and stressful situations. You will handle acute matters in the operation, investigate bullying incidents, be out on the playground among students, initiate recess activities, provide supportive conversations to students, observe groups or individual students, and work with the student welfare team to handle student matters. As a social pedagogue, you work close to students, guardians, and teachers. The majority of the day you will be where the students are, both in teaching situations and on the playground, with the goal of creating safety, building trusting relationships, and strengthening students' development and learning. QUALIFICATIONS You are structured, confident, and relationship-oriented. You work goal-oriented and independently with the ability to plan, prioritize, and complete tasks within given timeframes. You are stable even in challenging situations, have the courage to stand by your assessments, and can handle different perspectives in a professional manner. You have an easy time building good relationships and work without ego with others to reach common goals. Social pedagogy degree or equivalent. We would like you to have previous experience working with young people in a school environment. You need to have a good ability to lead conversations about difficult topics with teachers, students, and their guardians. It is an advantage if you have experience and knowledge of working with honor-related issues. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Employment form: Permanent employment.
