Valid until: August 13, 2026 Charita Nový Jičín announces a job opening for the position of: Social Worker, Head of Social Services Charitable Center of Mother Teresa – shelter and low-threshold day center Job Responsibilities • Professional and operational management of the shelter and low-threshold day center team • Ensuring quality of provided services in accordance with social services quality standards • Direct work with clients – social counseling, individual planning, crisis intervention • Cooperation with authorities, Czech Police, healthcare facilities, and other related organizations • Personnel and methodological management, documentation and statistics management • Collaboration on development and updates of internal procedures and materials for grants and funding applications What We Require • Professional competence according to Act No. 108/2006 Coll., on Social Services, criminal record clearance • Experience in social services; experience with team management is an advantage • Knowledge of homelessness issues or people in disadvantaged social situations is an advantage • Independence, organizational and communication skills, ability to handle stressful situations • Empathy and respect for people in difficult life situations • PC literacy (MS Office) • Category B driver's license What We Offer • Meaningful work on full-time contract, morning shifts, work location – Nový Jičín • Competitive compensation: salary from 38,000 Kč, monthly bonus up to 15,000 Kč • Permanent employment contract with salary increase after training period; probation period 6 months • Supervision and support for individual professional development • 5 weeks of vacation, mobile phone, PC, meal allowance, and leisure activity benefits • Stable organization with a friendly team environment • Start date: September 2026, or by arrangement How to Apply • If interested, send your CV and cover letter to: [email protected] • Selection process from applicants proceeds continuously. • Contact: Marcel Brož, Director of Charita Nový Jičín, tel.: 736 480 856
