Ref: 20261898 Job Responsibilities The new Social Services Act opens opportunities to create a social service that can more actively support and protect children and young people. We are now looking for you who wants to help shape and influence the future of social services. Take the chance to contribute to this change. The Unit for Preventive and Early Support is tasked with working preventively with interventions that counteract the emergence of social problems and contribute to equal living conditions for children, by strengthening protective factors and reducing risk factors in parenting. Our work often takes place across sectors, as knowledge and expertise from different professions increase the quality and accuracy of our work. The unit consists of six sections and works across all of Malmö, with a focus on children, young people and their families. We are now looking for a parenting advisor to be placed in section 1, whose activities are directed at the youngest Malmö residents and their parents. You will be part of a team with other parenting advisors who collaborate with child health centers (BVC) throughout Malmö. As a parenting advisor you will: Work collaboratively, in a consulting and advisory capacity on matters concerning parenting and the needs of small children (0–6 years), primarily within the framework of the expanded home visit program Växa tryggt that we implement in collaboration with BVC. Support parents through both individual conversations and group activities. Facilitate parenting courses. Evening and some weekend shifts occur. We do genuine social work where accessibility, flexibility and togetherness are our guiding principles. We keep the child perspective at the forefront! Qualifications Requirements for the position: Degree in social work or equivalent education. Experience with psychosocial change work. Strong knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Meritorious experience: Experience in preventive social work with children aged 0-6 years and their parents. Experience in close collaboration with other organizations and/or cross-professional work. Experience in driving collaboration processes between municipality and region. Training in and experience with facilitating parenting courses based on manual-based programs. To thrive and succeed in this role, we see that you easily build good relationships and are a team player with pronounced collaborative skills. You are comfortable with a mobile working style where you move between many arenas. You are accustomed to taking your own initiative and independently structuring and driving your work. You are strongly anchored in your professional role and use your curiosity and lack of pretense to create smooth collaborations. The role requires that you are flexible and can quickly shift and adapt to what the individual or situation requires in the moment.
