Preiļu novada Labklājības pārvalde announces an open competition for the position of SOCIAL REHABILITATOR (profession code 3412 02) at Social Care Center "Rušona" of Preiļu novada Labklājības pārvalde 0.5 full-time equivalent, permanent position Key job responsibilities: Assess client's social skills and social activity levels, develop individual social rehabilitation plans for clients and take necessary actions to implement them; Regularly evaluate client achievements and overall progress in skill and competency restoration; Strengthen clients' cognitive processes using targeted activities and methods; Plan, lead and organize social activation work – maximize preservation and development of clients' functional abilities and skills, when possible engaging clients in daily activities, promote client participation in acquiring social skills, develop and improve client self-care skills. Involve clients in organizing leisure time and promote their participation, provide opportunities for clients to attend educational, cultural and sports events appropriate to their functional condition and interests; Cooperate with client's family members, support persons and legal representatives; Motivate and support clients in performing daily needs (accompaniment to doctor or other specialist, consultation on possibilities of using technical aids, etc.); Participate in interprofessional team in client social rehabilitation process; Evaluate client satisfaction with social rehabilitation services. Prepare necessary work process documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements; Organize various celebrations, create decorations for celebrations or festivities, decorate common areas. Create thematic exhibitions from client creative works; Develop new proposals to improve social rehabilitation services. Requirements for applicants: Required (1) short-cycle higher education in social rehabilitation; (2) or second-cycle higher education in social work or charitable social work, if also obtained short-cycle professional higher education and fifth-level professional qualification in social rehabilitation; (3) or first-cycle higher education in social work and social worker qualification, if during studies or professional development education process completed study program section related to social rehabilitation of at least four credit points or 160 hours (submit document copies); For performing main professional duties at competent level, knowledge is required in the following fields: health care, social sector basics, psychology basics, organization of social care and social rehabilitation, planning of social rehabilitator's work; Ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and continuously supplement it; Computer skills at experienced user level, office equipment operation skills; Work experience for applicant in social rehabilitator position, as well as in other position in care sector will be considered an advantage; State language knowledge according to highest lower level (C1) (orally and in writing), excellent Latvian literary language and grammar skills; Good knowledge of other commonly used foreign languages to ensure communication with clients; Independence in task performance and ability to organize own work; Excellent communication and cooperation skills; Required eID card for electronic document signing. Before concluding employment contract, selected applicant must undergo mandatory health examination at own expense or submit valid, appropriate for position risks assessed, mandatory health examination card copy from previous workplace.
