The State Employment Agency (hereinafter - the Agency) announces a competition for an employee position at the Riga Regional Branch ESF Plus project "Measures for Inclusive Employment" (hereinafter - the Project) Customer Support Specialist / Social Mentor (1 position for a fixed term, for the duration of project implementation until 31.12.2029) Objective of the vacant position - To provide support to persons with disabilities during the job search and job initiation periods, as well as to ensure individual consultations to employers and their employees on inclusive employment issues, promoting sustainable and cooperation-based employment relationships Requirements for candidates: professional secondary education in the field of social care (professional secondary school or other educational institution implementing professional secondary education programs) or first-level professional higher education in social care, social rehabilitation, or first-level professional higher education in psychology, medicine, or pedagogy; experience working with persons at risk of social exclusion, providing psychological and social support for integration into society, minimum 1 year; knowledge of regulatory acts in force in the Republic of Latvia within the scope of job competencies; understanding of state employment policy and knowledge of applicable regulatory acts in force in the Republic of Latvia; ability to analyze cases and make professional decisions; analytical thinking, ability to assess facts and data, predict and prevent risks; state language education or state language proficiency corresponding to level C, stage 1; computer skills in MS Office – user level and ability to work with office equipment; a valid e-signature tool is required to perform job duties. Main job duties will be: to provide practical support to Agency clients during job search and job initiation periods, including, if necessary, providing support to employers, specializing in work with specific client target groups – persons with disabilities; to ensure project results – placement of clients in permanent employment and continuation of employment relationships; to ensure development of an individual activity plan for clients and fulfillment of set tasks; during the job search phase, to provide clients with support and consultations in solving individual social problems, developing and improving personality and social skills; during the job initiation phase, to provide support and practical advice to clients on employment issues; to provide individual consultations to employers and their employees on employment of persons with disabilities; to ensure the availability, traceability, and free access to documents necessary for work preparation, their regular systematization, accumulation, and storage job duties include regular business trips and assignments. We offer: work in a state institution with the opportunity to gain diverse professional experience; monthly salary from 1160.00 EUR to 1330.00 EUR (before tax deduction) according to assessment of individual monthly salary setting criteria; social guarantees in accordance with those established in state administration; additional vacation days (up to 10 working days per year); continuous professional development, opportunity to participate in various trainings; health insurance policy after 3 months of employment. The selection competition will be held in two rounds: First round - evaluation of candidates' education and work experience based on submitted documents. Second round – interview, during which the candidate's knowledge and competencies will be assessed according to the requirements set for the position. Candidates who obtain a certain number of points in the test will be invited to the interview. Candidates who have obtained education abroad are asked to attach a document certifying its academic recognition in Latvia. Within a week after the deadline of the announcement, we will contact those candidates who are selected for the second round of personnel selection. The Agency requests that candidates, when applying for participation in the selection competition, do not provide additional data, including special category personal data, that is not necessary to evaluate the candidate's compliance with the specific vacancy.
