Jēkabpils Municipality Social Service (registration number 40900038152) announces a competition for the position of Social Worker in the Social Work and Social Services Department, Social Work with Adults and Social Services Sector, for work with persons with functional disabilities - for an indefinite period Work location: Jaunā iela 39I, Jēkabpils, Jēkabpils Municipality, LV-5201 Main job responsibilities: • identify social problems and determine client needs, • develop social rehabilitation plans jointly with clients in accordance with identified social problems with the aim of improving or developing the client's social skills, motivate them for change, conclude cooperation agreements and ensure the implementation of planned tasks, • use appropriate methods for working with clients individually or working with families to identify social problems and determine suitable social service options, • ensure clients have access to necessary specialist services, promote client participation in solving social problems, cooperating with Service employees and employees of other state and municipal institutions, • organize the involvement of social resource systems in solving social problems for specific individuals, social groups, communities or society, • provide psychosocial support, • maintain client files, compiling information about the client, their family situation, social situation, material status, etc., • identify persons and groups of persons who need social services, • analyze the causes of social problems, provide suggestions for solving social problems. Requirements for job candidates: • first-cycle higher education (previously - second-level professional higher or academic education) in social work or charitable social work, • desired work experience in the field of social work, • understanding of social sector regulatory requirements, • good communication and motivation skills, empathy, listening skills, • ability to independently perform job duties and make decisions within your competence, • ability to work in a team and promote cooperation, • ability to work in dynamic and changing working conditions, • excellent knowledge of the state language, • good computer and office equipment skills, • desired category B driver's license.
