Bauska Municipal Social Services (Registration No. 90009403791) announces a competition for SOCIAL WORKER POSITIONS FOR FAMILY AND CHILDREN SERVICES in Bauska for 2 permanent positions. Key Job Responsibilities: - Provide social work services to families with children - Assess families' social situations, identify needs, resources, and social problems; conduct home visits - Create client files and work in the SOPA information system - Conduct risk assessments in families with children facing unfavorable conditions - Develop intervention plans - Prepare reports for guardianship courts and other institutions as requested - Draft decision proposals - Inform clients of decisions made - Work with the Minors Support Information System (NPAIS) - Build inter-professional and inter-institutional cooperation Requirements for Candidates: - Master's degree in social work or charitable social work (Social Services and Social Assistance Law, Article 41) - Knowledge of relevant laws of the Republic of Latvia and European Union - Ability to use internal regulatory documents in work - Understanding of principles for providing social services and social assistance in Latvia - Skills in MS Office programs, internet, and email; experience with SOPA program is an advantage - Ability to work independently and in a team - Strong communication skills and empathy - High sense of responsibility, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail - Understanding of social needs of families, individuals, and various social groups - Understanding of resource development and mobilization for problem-solving - Ability to identify and analyze clients' social problems, their causes and consequences - Experience in social work or social work practice is an advantage - Proficiency in the state language at the highest level We Offer: - Employment contract for a fixed term - Monthly salary before taxes: 1331 EUR - Social guarantees - Health insurance policy after probation period - Responsible and interesting work in a dynamic environment - Professional development opportunities - Well-equipped workplace - Supportive and knowledgeable team Candidates Must Submit: - Motivational cover letter - Curriculum Vitae - Copies of education documents and certification of equivalence for foreign credentials - References/recommendations (if available) - Copies of other relevant documents (certificates, certifications) Submit applications marked "Application for SOCIAL WORKER POSITION FOR FAMILY AND CHILDREN SERVICES" to: [email protected] Phone for inquiries: 27843112 Deadline: September 11, 2026, 4:00 PM.
