Social Worker for Families and Children

Valmiera Municipality (hereinafter – Municipality) invites applications for a Social Worker position in the Social Affairs Department, Social Work Division, to work with families and children (permanent position). If you have a desire to: • perform social work with families, children, and youth; • identify and engage necessary resources for families with children and youth; • prepare required documentation in accordance with social case management requirements; • work as part of a team and foster active cooperation with representatives from the Municipality's Social Affairs Department, the Guardian Court, educational institutions, and other organizations; and if you have: • education in accordance with Article 41 of the Social Services and Social Assistance Law; • proficiency in the state language in accordance with the State Language Law requirements; • knowledge and understanding of regulatory acts related to the position; • competencies: excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, empathy and listening abilities; precision and high sense of responsibility; ability to work individually and in teams; ability to quickly and independently make decisions in non-standard situations; ability to argue your position; • good computer skills; • Category B driver's license; we offer: • dynamic, interesting, and responsible work with opportunities for implementing ideas in a development-oriented Municipality; • base salary during probation 1258 EUR before taxes, after probation 1310 EUR before taxes; • opportunity to receive vacation benefits for work-life balance based on performance; • employer co-financed health insurance after probation period ends, as well as other social guarantees/benefits in accordance with work results and regulatory requirements; • professional development and growth opportunities in a knowledgeable and responsive team of colleagues.
