Social Worker for Family and Child Services

Tukuma novada pašvaldības iestāde "Tukuma novada sociālais dienests" (reg. no. 40900035315) announces an open competition for a Social Worker position working with families and children (fixed-term contract) in Tukuma city: Requirements for candidates: - First-cycle higher education in social work or charitable social work, or a 4th year student with planned first-cycle higher education in social work and social worker qualification; - Strong computer skills, proficiency with information systems and software; - Ability to plan, manage, and organize work; capacity to clearly and logically present your opinion; - High sense of responsibility, ability to make independent decisions; - Excellent communication and collaboration skills; - Work experience in social work will be considered an advantage; - Category "B" driver's license is desirable. Main job responsibilities: - Identify social problems and determine client needs; - Develop intervention plans (in collaboration with clients) according to identified social problems with the goal of improving or developing client's social skills, motivating change; - Provide clients with psychosocial assistance and individual consultations on social, pedagogical, legal, and other matters within the scope of the position; - Organize client access to social services at place of residence, crisis centers, social rehabilitation institutions, long-term social care and rehabilitation institutions, including out-of-home care facilities and institutions; - Prepare response documents within the scope of competence for natural and legal persons and issue, including signing, administrative acts and their derivatives; - Work with the unified social assistance administration electronic system SOPA and document management system Lietvaris.
